He advises companies at all stages of the energy value chain, with a focus on regulatory advice to grid operators.

In this context, Philipp Berg assists our clients in regulatory proceedings and in both administrative and civil court litigation.

Biography

Philipp Berg studied law at the University of Bonn. His studies focused on German and European antitrust and energy law. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, with stations at the Federal Cartel Office (8th Decision Division) and the Administrative Court of Cologne, among others. Philipp Berg worked as a research assistant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in the sector group "Cartel and Energy Law" and most recently at Flick Gocke Schaumburg. He is doing his doctorate at the University of Hamburg on issues at the interface of energy and insolvency law. Philipp Berg was admitted to the bar in 2021.
