Stefan Tüngler is specialised in dispute resolution. He has broad experiences in the context of conflict prevention as well as the development and implementation of litigation strategies in contentious proceedings, both before state courts and arbitration tribunals. He represents companies, associations and public bodies in matters of contract drafting, out-of-court enforcement or defence of claims, mediation as well as in traditional court and arbitration proceedings. He specialises in energy law, with a specific focus on advising energy supply companies with regard to regulatory and contractual matters.
Stefan Tüngler is a founding partner of LEITFELD Rechtsanwälte PartGmbB. He has been a counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer since 2007 in the dispute resolution practice group.
Stefan Tüngler studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and completed his legal traineeship including stints at the Representative Office of German Commerce in Tallinn (Estonia) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for German and International Mining and Energy Law at the Clausthal University of Technology and completed his doctorate in energy law.
Stefan Tüngler publishes on current energy law topics and developments on a regular basis. He is a member of the ENR Group of the International Bar Association, the German Institution of Arbitration e.V. and editor of the section on energy supply contracts in the beck-online.Großkommentar as well as co-editor of the commentary by Kment (ed.) on the Energy Industry Act and Frenz/Müggenborg/Cosack/Hennig/Schomerus (ed.) on the Renewable Energies Act.
He has been recommended as a lawyer for energy law for many years by clients and JUVE.
